Terms & Conditions

Effective & Last Updated: September 2026

1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you") and Cruse ("Cruse", "we", "us", or "our"), governing your access to and use of the website located at https://cruse.in and all associated client-side micro-utilities, tools, and calculators (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing or using Cruse, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must immediately discontinue using our Service.

2. Permitted Use & Free Commercial / Personal License

Cruse grants you a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, revocable license to access and use all online utilities for personal, educational, research, freelance, or commercial retail purposes:

  • Commercial Printing & Packaging: You may freely generate, download, print, and affix barcodes (EAN-13, UPC-A, Code 128, ITF-14) and QR codes generated on Cruse to physical retail packaging, inventory labels, invoices, and promotional collateral without licensing fees.
  • Document Applications: You may freely use photos cropped with our Passport Photo Maker for official government visa, passport, exam, or job portal submissions.
  • Educational & Mathematical Calculations: You may freely use calculations from our standard desktop, scientific, and binary programmer calculators in academic coursework and commercial software engineering tasks.

3. Prohibited Uses & Conduct

You agree not to misuse the Service or assist any other party in doing so. Specifically, you agree NOT to:

  • Use the QR Code or Barcode Generators to encode deceptive, malicious, phishing, or malware-distributing URLs.
  • Generate counterfeit barcodes representing registered GS1 company prefixes or trademarked products you do not own or have authorization to distribute.
  • Attempt to conduct Denial of Service (DoS/DDoS) attacks, automated abusive scraping, or interfere with the normal delivery of our static CDN edge servers.
  • Reverse-engineer or re-brand Cruse's proprietary visual user interface as your own commercial product without prior written consent.

4. Tool-Specific Technical Disclaimers ("As-Is" Provision)

All utilities on Cruse are provided strictly on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory:

A. Health, Nutrition & Fitness Calculators

The BMI Calculator, Calorie Calculator (TDEE/BMR), Daily Protein Intake Calculator, and Water Intake Tracker provide estimated nutritional guidance based on generalized population formulas (such as the Mifflin-St Jeor equation and WHO statistical classifications). These tools do NOT provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. They are not a substitute for clinical consultation with a certified medical doctor, dietitian, or healthcare specialist. Always consult a physician before initiating aggressive caloric deficits, dietary changes, or strenuous exercise programs.

B. Physical Measurement Tools (Screen Ruler & Protractor)

While our on-screen ruler and 360° protractor include physical card calibration mechanisms based on standard ISO/IEC 7810 ID-1 card dimensions (85.60 mm × 53.98 mm), actual measurement accuracy is contingent on display pixel density (PPI), operating system display scaling, and proper user physical calibration. Cruse measurement tools are intended for everyday utility and must NOT be used for legal land boundary surveying, certified architectural construction, or high-tolerance engineering fabrication.

C. Biometric Photo & Document Compliance

Our Passport Photo Maker provides digital cropping and compression templates following published specifications for standard sizes (US 2x2", Indian Passport 35x45mm, Schengen Visa, PAN Card, and UPSC). However, government passport agencies and embassy consular offices maintain absolute discretionary authority over final document approval. Cruse accepts no liability for rejected visa or passport applications.

D. Financial Payment QR Codes (UPI QR Generator)

The UPI QR Generator renders standard National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) deep link strings directly in your local browser sandbox. Cruse does NOT process, verify, mediate, or hold financial transactions. You are exclusively responsible for verifying that your Virtual Payment Address (VPA) and payee details are accurate prior to printing payment standees or accepting customer funds.

E. Mathematical & Programmer Calculators

Our standard desktop, scientific mathematical, and binary/hex programmer calculators implement IEEE 754 standard floating-point and integer bitwise operations. While tested for accuracy, Cruse accepts no responsibility for financial losses, engineering miscalculations, or academic errors resulting from reliance on calculator outputs.

5. Intellectual Property & Trademarks

The original site design, typography layout, custom graphics, and software codebase of Cruse are the exclusive intellectual property of Cruse.

Third-party trademarks and brand references—including but not limited to UPI, BHIM, Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, Visa, Mastercard, ISO, ICAO, Apple, and Android—are the property of their respective trademark holders. Their mention on Cruse is solely for descriptive, nominative reference to indicate format compatibility.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Cruse, its operators, contributors, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, punitive, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages—including but not limited to loss of profits, goodwill, data, business interruption, or personal injury—arising out of or in connection with your access to, use of, or inability to use the Service.

7. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Cruse and its operators from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.
