Use DEG when solving geometric problems, physics vectors, or angles measured between 0° and 360°. Use RAD in calculus, advanced trigonometry, physics oscillations, and when working with radians (where a full circle is 2π radians ≈ 6.283 rad).
How does the calculator handle operator precedence (PEMDAS/BODMAS)?
The scientific evaluation engine strictly adheres to standard mathematical hierarchy: Parentheses first, followed by Exponents/Roots, Multiplication & Division from left to right, and finally Addition & Subtraction. You can nest parentheses to any depth.
How do inverse trigonometric functions (sin⁻¹, cos⁻¹, tan⁻¹) work?
Click the "2nd" button on the keypad. The trigonometry keys will switch to asin, acos, and atan. Inputting a ratio will return the corresponding angle in your selected unit (degrees or radians).
How does the factorial (n!) function compute large numbers?
The factorial function accurately calculates integers up to 170! (approx. 7.25 × 10³⁰⁶), which is the standard IEEE-754 double precision floating-point maximum. For non-integers, Gamma function approximations can be referenced.
